Qualification
Certified Tour Conductor at both General and Domestic grade — able to conduct package tours overseas and within Japan.
Languages
Japanese (native); English and Portuguese (conversational); Spanish (basic). Portuguese-speaking conductors are hard to find.
Location
Sakura, Chiba — about 30 minutes from Narita Airport by car, so early-morning international departures are straightforward.
Track record
Six years and thirty-plus countries, promoted to my employer's "popular conductor" grade. As a training instructor I put around thirty conductors into the field.

These levels are accurate, not aspirational. Spanish is limited to simple exchanges, so anything complex needs to run in English or Japanese.
What I can take on
Overseas tour conducting
Itinerary management on package tours: airport procedures, coordination with local operators, and handling incidents. Ask me about regions.
Domestic tour conducting
Groups, inspection trips and training tours. Departures from Kanto, and Kansai as well.
Portuguese-language assignments
Inbound groups from Brazil and Portugal, or domestic tours for Brazilian residents in Japan. No separate interpreter needed.
Training tour conductors
I trained around thirty conductors at a staffing company. I can run induction courses, role-play sessions and on-the-job supervision.
Documents and reporting
My other trade is web development and workflow tooling. I can also take on report templates, photo sorting and sharing, and multilingual handouts.
Background
2025 –
Generative AI and workflow tooling
Building with the Claude API, the WordPress REST API and similar, starting from the design of the workflow itself rather than the code.
2022 –
Freelance — web development and tour conducting
Web work as the main trade, with tour conducting continuing alongside it. Because I never left the field, what I know about transport and venues is current rather than remembered.
2018 – 2022
Staffing company — sales and tour conductor training
Ran the tour conductor training programme, putting around 30 people into the field. Hit ¥2m in monthly sales and won the president's award in 2021.
2013 – 2018
Tour conductor, international and domestic
Thirty-plus countries in six years, and promotion to the company's "popular conductor" grade. Itinerary management, handling emergencies, and looking after mixed-nationality groups — all learned on the ground.

Tour conducting is carried out as your company's itinerary manager, under your travel agency registration. I do not operate a travel agency myself.
